Let me tell you first that your idea of a 50 inch is the best price/perfomance chance for you, since this is the line beween non expensive and expensive sets. If you downgrade to a 42-46 inches you cut prices a lot, but as far as I can tell, you did your homework and know precisely the better savings level.

So we´re going to give you the excellent choices and not less:

42 inchers, are the most of all plasma sales, wich mean these have better and/or cheaper prices and most costumers buying sets, wich lower production costs because of mass marketing.

At $1000 to $1900 the dispute has the Panasonics TH-42PH9UK and TH42PX500U, the Dell W4200HD, the LG 42PC3D2C , and the Sharp AQUOS LC-45D40 .

If you really want a 50", think on the RCA HDLP50W151,and the Toshiba 50HPX95 50 both wonderful choices at $2300 average.

If you can rise your wishes for a +55 incher, ( $5000 - $6300) this are the best choices :
Hitachi CMP-55HDM71 or the Samsung LN-S5797D 57-IN.

You wont find a Sony or JVC in here... we are talking best sets, no best advertisement. Those are not as good as the ones we tell you about.

NOw, if you want to finish your homework, just get to the specs at the prices you can afford. Look at your checkbook and find if you will be willing to spend less than 2 grands, between 2 and 3500 or well beyond. read thos reviews, and you wilkl agrre with us..

By the way, some will advise you to wait till a very affordable or better technology appears. If you are not ready to buy, you can... in 10 years the foldable OLPs shown at CEBIT wcould be a reality. But maybe you will be too bored on the mean time.

If you want to use the technology know.. just see if you want it.

This is like computers, sat radio, cars, etc. The wait never ends....

(this might enable the proper ingredient of the aggregate to harden whilst the ingredient no longer uncovered to air remains gelled) This creates your plasma. Wait approximately 5 minutes. place your television up ideal and then placed it against the wall. Now take a image of the front of your television. next circulate to an public sale internet site and sell this piece of junk as a used HDTV. I would not go with plasma TV because the gas slowly leaks out over time and you'd have to replace the TV in about 3 to 5 years. Go for LCD instead.

I'm holding out for SED. It's kind of like an LED but with good old fashioned high-contrast, super-fast response, 180 degree viewing angle phosphors. Supposed to use less power than LEDs too.
