I stayed in Paris for 10 days with my wife so can only comment on that city. It was breathtaking. The sights are amazing you actually feel like you are in a city of lights and love. If you love cafes you will love paris they are every where. The bread and pastries are exceptional. The people are very friendly generally only if you speak or attempt to speak french. So it would be a good idea to try to learn the language a little. Also it is a very expensive city so be ready for that. Finally one of our friends was from the south of France and he said that there it is even more beautiful.

I rode a bus with my best friend through France (from Germany) to get to Barcelona, Spain.... I must say the houses were very colorful (almost like Ireland houses) and the highways were ok (flirty people in passing cars).... that's all I can say about France. Sorry.

everybody speaks French and they put garlic on the french fries (horrible)
the south is expensive and full
the north is beautifull if you visit the wine farms
the ardennes are very nice
and there are lots of old castles
