Left side? Part of the large intestine, some small bowel, your spleen, your kidney is around that place, but around back and usually anything wrong there is felt as back or flank pain. The pancreas is nearby, usually anything problematic there presents with epigastric pain (if there is pain) but it can also be on either side.....
Pain there can be significant, trauma can cause a splenic rupture, you can have any number of problems with your intestines, it's very hard to guess what it may be without more information (and it can be very hard to find out even when someone is right in front of me and I have an abdominal CT as well), but if it's severe pain that lasts, you might want to consider seeking medical attention.

Lower down, just above the pelvic area and below the belly button is your appendix. If this gets infected and inflames the pain can seem to be in many different places in your abdominal area. This condition is called acute appendicitis.
Untreated, an acute appendix can quickly kill you.
You liver is also in that area but higher up. In the area you describe are your large and small intestines, and your kidney is behind that area as I recall.

Lower left abdomen
Pain here most often suggests a problem in the lower colon, where food waste is expelled. Possible causes include inflammatory bowel disease or an infection in the colon known as diverticulitis.

You should get to the doctor right away. It could be an infection in your spleen. If it ruptures, you bleed to death internally. Have you been very tired lately? Mononucleosis can cause this type of problem.
This is just a possibility, it could be a blockage in your intestine also. Been eating a lot of pizza?

It is very important to see your doctor immediately, especially if you've been ill recently, or had some sort of trauma to your abdomen. This could be a serious condition.
