Mileage shows how much you have driven or used the car. The numbers go up by every mile that you drive. The higher the mileage, the more the car had been used. The lower the mileage the less the car had been used. So it is usually better to buy a lower mileage vehicle.
The average mileage should be 10,000 a year. So for example: if you were buying a year 2000 car, and the mileage was 80,000. This would be a high mileage vehicle because the average mileage of a year 2000 car should be around 60,000-70,000.

Low mileage is what to look for when buying a car.High mileage means the car has been driven a whole lot and will not last as long as one with lower miles

Mileage is simply the number of miles the car has been driven. Cars, like most manufactured items, are made of parts that wear out over time. The more mileage, the more wear has been put on the moving parts, and the more likely that something will wear out and need replacement.
Less miles is generally better when purchasing a used vehicle.

In our area, people drive an average of 15,000 miles per year. So if a 5 year old car has 45,000 miles on it that would be considered low miles. If it had 100,000 it would be considered high miles. Generally, the lower mileage is better but not always. It the car is only driven on lots of short trips, the brakes and transmission will have had more wear and stress than a higher-mile car with long -distance trips.

Low miles are better The higher the mileage the more of a chance it's going to break down because it has more wear on the engine and all the other parts.

mileages means how many miles the car has driven. It is better to buy a car with low mileage because it has been driven less

lower milage in general is better buy than higher mileage. because it has not been on the road as much as higher mileage car. But you still need to check the car history to make sure. because some lower milage might be a car that mechanic roll back the mile domotor, or car have serious problem like flood, and all other mechanic problem. beware.

I'd be more worried if a 10 year old car had 20,000 miles rather than 200,000 miles. Why? Because lower miles could mean the car spent a lot of time at the dealer being fixed, or could be salvaged. High miles means it's been very reliable for many years. I once purchased a Honda Accord with over 200,000 miles.... one of the best used cars I've ever bought. Never had a single problem for the year that I had it and got 40mpg to boot. Regret selling it!

---------------------CAUTION------------------- Either of 2 things
1st--- Do you mean milage the car was DRIVEN......If so, the LOWER the better AND THAT can be forged.......
2nd--- Do you mean GAS MILEAGE..Which will have a high and low number.... This is how many MPG(Miles per gallon you will get) The HIGHER the better. This will depend on your driving habits and will NOT be the same as you see on the piece of paper.
Please, talk to a friend who knows about these things BEFORE you purchase...
Good Luck!!!!
