Drink malts, hamburgers, etc., but don't die of heart disease. You need the advise of a nutritionist to make sure you put it on healthy.

First of all why are you underweight?

Some health issues can cause this. Anorexia of course, but celiac disease, thyroid malfunction, diet, and several other underlying, or undiagnosed conditions.

I'd see a doctor to rule these out if you can. And since you have internet at your fingertips, look into underwieght health issues. Or weight gain. It's not just about what you eat. Whatever diet plan you choose to gain or lose weight, make sure it offers a wide variety of all food groups.

I must mention again celiac disease, has malnutrition and low body weight as primary symptoms for some sufferers along with digestive disorders.

Just eat that "extra" something when you get the chance. I gained ten pounds in one week after doing it. You may be like ten pounds??? You must have done something else! No! It was ten pounds and all I did was eat that extra something. I didn't really do anything noticeable like eat a lot of something.

Ex: If you are eating dinner and there are rolls or something and there are a few left, take an extra roll. While you are scooping ice cream for dessert, take an extra scoop.

Those kind of things. It isn't really healthy of course but it slowly adds weight in a probably a safer way.

Don't start eating rubbish and don't rush it. It's not as easy as it sounds to gain weight in a healthy manner - I had the same problem. You should definitely speak to a nutritionist or, if that's not possible, ask a GP for advise. Someone has to help you plan this properly, and then your job (sticking with the program) will be hard enough. Good luck

oh shucks..the options are just so yummy....frankly a Jack in the Box bacon cheeseburger and fries sound pretty good to me...really, you can load up on carbs, but for your insides, please make them healthy carbs...stay away from the junk food because it'll do bad things to your heart et al...but eat as often as you can and pray that your metabolism doesn't dramatically change, as it has for many of us as we age...
