Yes the correct term is expectorate. Or expectorating.
I personally prefer the terms disgusting, nasty and gobbing. The latter is my personal favourite!
Dont you just hate it when you see goops of spit on the street?! Its like seeing doggy poop, except it came from the human mouth!
I do wish people with spitting problems would carry tissues around with them!
Burping is eructating.
Flatulence is farting.
