Who cares why you would want to freeze it.... I don't!
I would think that you could freeze it, although it may get soggy in the thawing process.
My suggestion is to throw a little bit in a zip lock and leave it in the freezer over night. If it thaws fine the next day, then go ahead and put the whole lot in there.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! I freeze potato chips and pretzels and tortilla chips as well. I swear they come out fresher than when you bought them.
