All kids think that they are smarter then their parents. Then you grow up and realize how foolish you were as a kid. (Not STUPID, mind you, but FOOLISH.) There is SO much you don't know about surviving in the world, and after about 10 years of working at least 40 hours a week, paying mortgages, paying for insurance, paying electric, cable, heating, telephone, and grocery bills, cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, and spending your life taking care of people other than yourself, then you learn.

Alright...I'm a teen and this is my opinion on it.
We are smart when it comes to modern times...we know more about what's new...trends, computers, school life, educational aspects, and social dilemmas.
However, the adults know about experience and when it comes to making choices..they most definately know the most because they have gone through a lot more than we have...such as advice on friendship and other stuff like that where you aren't exactly an experitise on.
That's just my opinion...my mom's like my best friend and so yea =]

I think we are exposed to more things they they were, and yes, in a way. we see things they might think as unnatural, but we have more of an open mind, more of an accepting heart. School is getting harder and harder, so we learned more/different things then they did. As for how the world works, no. It takes years of experience to be a "grown up," so chances are, they're beating us there. But book smarts, we might be.

Absolutely not; parents by virtue of their experience while dealig with the challenges in their lives as well as with the upbringing of ourselves they are definitely wiser than us. May in our modern education we may learn about latest scientific things/ inventions, but certainly their knowledge in worldly affairs is much deeper.

Based on the younger generation's obvious inability to even construct a simple sentence correctly, the answer is NO!

You should ask that question again when you can write in complete sentences without grammatical and spelling errors.

Maybe in the computer world but our parents would always be more worldly wise.
