Let me try to make it up for you with a tidbit of info.
In 1958 Joe fought a fellow New Orleanian Ralph Dupas in Houston Texas because N. O. would not allowed a fight between a black fighter and a white one. The funny part is that Dupas' family had been passing for white for years.
