I love white rice with my chili. My mother used to serve her chili over mashed potatoes ( i think it was to cover the taste of the instant mashed potatoes) my son loves corn bread with his. Chili is one of those one pot meals that with bread or a salad can be a complete meal without the addition of side dishes. Even a box of Jiffy corn bread mix ( 39 cents and 20 minutes) with cheese or salsa or jalapenos added makes a great counterpart to chili. You can even set up a "chili bar" have nacho chips. shredded cheese. sour cream, jalapenos, and other toppings and let your family make taco salads or top thier own chili.

any classic meatloaf recipe will artwork wonderful with the floor turkey. it is quite useful to function some finely chopped mushrooms, considering that turkey desires the extra moisture and physique those will supply. do no longer forget to function a splash fats, considering that turkey is so lean - attempt a tablespoon or so of extra virgin olive oil. meatballs will artwork wonderful besides (returned, upload a splash olive oil and chopped mushrooms for style, moisture, texture) and come out fluffier than the classic crimson meat/crimson meat blend. turkey burgers - upload finely chopped mushrooms, onions, bell peppers and a few Worcestershire sauce and additionally you will in no way leave out the crimson meat. ultimately, tacos or pasta sauce artwork great substituting turkey for the floor crimson meat that's regularly used. you heavily isn't waiting to tell which you used turkey in any respect.

We always have cheese crisps, or quesadillas, with our chili. How to make: Take a flour tortilla, any size, put some grated cheese on it, and heat until the cheese is melted. Yummy!
