Anything from Hugo Boss is nice, but you should get one that suits you - I myself love the Chanel range, but not necessarily on myself, just Number 19. Coco Chanel doesn't suit me, and I've gone off Chanel Number 5. Just go in one of the perfumery places and have a look and a sniff around.

Buy Joop, it smells gorgeous or you could try Jean Paul Gaultier. I'm glad you use aftershave, it really turns a woman on when a man smells nice.

It depends on your own preference.
I myself like a stronger cologne.
If you like a lighter fragrance why not try Cool Water by davidoff or Tommy Hilfiger, boss by Hugo boss, Calvin Klein escape, Emporio Armani.
for a heavier fragrance
Habit Rouge by Guerlain, m7 by Yves saint Laurent, Gucci pour homme, Antaeus by Chanel, Armani night.

All the ones you see on the shelves in the chemist are awful. Spend a little extra and get something like Grey Flannel (Google it!). I have a friend who wears that, he's young and gorgeous which helps, but everywhere we go women comment on how nice he smells. Something that smells expensive and lasts is what you need. The older well established brands are there because people like them, look at chanel no5 for women, it's been around forever cos it's good stuff.

I agree with frostbitt.
I think some guys who wear aftershave come across as trying too hard to impress/attract opposite sex.
