Well, I have a Kodak EasyShare C310, and I really don't like it. I'll be getting a new camera soon, and I was wondering if you all had any suggestions for a camera that fits the following needs:

I'd prefer the camera to be a Kodak. Even though I don't like my current Kodak, I've had good experiences with others. I also want something that takes good pictures that are clear even when I print them out larger. I need some sort of setting that allows me to take multiple snapshots with one push of the button. Optical zoom is also a must! I want to be able to record short videos with sound! I'm thinking with AT LEAST 5.0 megapixels, no less. I'd like some different scene modes, too. In general, I need a good, reliable camera for taking pictures of my friends, family, and pets.

Thanks!

Oh, I forgot to mention that size is an issue. I don't care if it can fit in my pocket or not, but I don't want something as large as the z650.

So, you're saying that size doesn't matter?

Canon S2is. Longest optical zoom with Image stabilizer. This is what I would get if I needed the most quality zoom per buck ratio. Just under $300 dollars you cant go wrong with a Canon. Way better color saturation than a Kodak and has a built in image stabilizer so your pictures come out crisp. Very easy to use with a swivel out screen so you get pictures from different perspectives.

If you are determined to buy another Kodak, then I would suggest the new...
C875 (it has 8MP, 5X optical and full manual control if you want it). It has no viewfinder so you must always use the LCD screen, which sounds ok to me.
And its much less bulky than the Z650.
The new C743 (7.1MP, 3X optical) is also available, however it does not have features as good as the C875.
I would not recommend the "V" series of Kodak camera. The reviews of them have not been too good.

You might consider Kodak EasyShare P850 with optical zoom of 12X

I have the Kodak easy share z650 and absolutely love it!

It's easy to use to takes professional shots as well.
Prints up to 20X30 portraits, and when they are printed, they look so nice...no blur, perfect. Can't beat that!

6.1 MP with a 10X optical zoom.

You can't go wrong with this camera.
