I'm not sure what this person does exactly but I use to have a friend who is the same, I asked her one day why she totally ignored whatever I spoke about, the conversation would turn to all about her & her life's ups & downs. She never changed so I don't talk to her anymore, all she done was drag every one down to her level to make herself feel better!
that person is not your friend lose them for your own peace of mind & mental health.

Well when they talk over you, raise your voice slightly and say "I wasn't finished" then continue on like they did not talk over you.
As for telling them they are selfish, maybe say..."You know it would be nice if you thought about how what you say and what you do, how it effects other people."
even with all that, they may not get it and be turely confused, I've found that selfish people REALLY don't think they are selfish, so good luck with that

Tell the talker to shut-up, and tell the selfish person, "that's not the first time I heard of that"! , because some people like to brag too-much. And a talker doesn't realize their being rude!

If you don't want someone to interrupt you, the way to do this is to just keep talking. It's really hard because you have to fight your urges but if you keep talking, eventually the interrupter will stop.
Be careful, though, that you're not the pot calling the kettle black. I sincerely hope that you're not trying to stop being interrupted because you want to dominate the conversation.

Record an example of them doing something selfish and show them. They can't dispute themselves and then you aren't the "bad guy". Just let them know you did it because you care about them.

I'm never nice to those people, I wait until we are with other and wait for the person to do that, I say "CAN`T LET ANYONE FINISH SAYING ANYTHING, WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO INTERRUPT PEOPLE WHEN THEY'RE TALKING?"

Just say, "Man, you think an awful lot of yourself, don't cha?" But do it in a laughing sort of way.

I would stop talking abruptly . Then stand there and just look at them .........
................................ . When they finally feel strange they will ask what you are doing , now you can say " Oh I'm sorry I didn't think you needed my input for a conversation ! "
