There were also no public schools in the south before liberals created them during Reconstruction. So thank a liberal if you live south of the Mason-Dixon line and can read this.

Did you know that you didn't research at all before you asked this question? It was in 1962 that the SC ruled that schools cannot compose and require prayers.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poe_Elementary_School_Attack - 1959
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bath_School_disaster - 1927 (killed 45, the worst school massacre in US history)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enoch_Brown_School_Massacre (going really far back: 1764)
This isn't a comprehensive list, only the first ones I could find. It also excludes private schools shootings which happened since 1962. Private schools are unaffected by the SC ruling, and can still allow prayer. But that hasn't meant that there haven't been private school shootings. The amish school shooting that just happened is a recent example.
P.S.: tjreamer makes an excellent point. why is it that there are far fewer school shootings in the more secular western democracies. Sweden, Canada, Holland, etc. All these countries have rates of religious adherence far below the US, but far fewer school shootings as well.

No, I didn't know that, but from the answers you have been given so far, I gather that you are spreading around incorrect information. Please explain why.
In my country (the Netherlands, which is in Europe) school massacres are a non existing phenomenon. Yet we don't pray in school. And why on earth would we? Religion is a personal matter that, in my opinion, needs to be strictly seperated from things like education. It belongs at home and in church for those who attach importance to it.
Incidentally, the Netherlands are so liberal that even our conservatives would be branded as liberals in the US (they admit that themselves!). Yet we have a lot less violence than in the US. Why oh why could that be the case?

Did you know we've never had school prayer in Canada, generally a much more "liberal" country than the USA, and never had a school shooting until some started copying what was happening in the USA.
Your premise is wrong, so your conclusion (?) is false.
Have a nice hate-filled myopic day.
And oh yeah, as always....god is imaginary.

Did you know that there were also no school massacres when the students were allowed to carry guns? (Before the usual knee jerk responses get posted I would like to mention that my grandfather carried a small caliber rifle to school with him every day, as did many of the other students in his class who ran trap lines. The number of shootings at his school was exactly zero, though there were several fist fights. Of course, this was 100 years ago, and things may have changed just a little...)

Not true. There are records of many school massacres. Some in china by students opposing communist rule. Many in Germany under Nazi oppression. Some in Iberian spain due to revolts against Umayyad family control. And some in the united states where Native Americans were slughtered by US troops.

This maybe true, but let's put the blame where the blame goes. I know this is a hard pill to swallow, but let me ask, Where were the Christians when all of this was being done? Where are the Christians today when all of this is going on? So many "Christians" are afraid to stand up and say, "Thus saith the Lord". So many Christians just set back and say "What can we do". Just think what would happen if all the Christians of the USA would stand and say, "Enough is enough". And are you willing to stand up and say this and maybe go to prison for it. Think before you throw your stones.

But the holocaust happened when there was still prayer in school. So therfore, it's the Republicans fault that millions of Jews were killed.
Doesn't work like that.

Back in like 1927 some maniac set off hundreds of pounds of dynamite at a school in Bath, MI. The death toll was at least 100.

I disagree. Society has changed a lot since the banning of prayers, this is what is accountable for the change. There were no real terrorist attacks before the ban on prayers, is that because they banned prayers, I doubt it. Prayer is hollow to anybody who doesn't believe in god, it breeds resentment.
