I like the answer number 2 gave.

But if for some reason you can't purchase the item, you might paint the cables green and use stencils to paint decorative leaves along the cable to simulate an ivy vine. You might paint a flower pot on top of the door and have the vine trailing from it. If you did this, you might want to also paint a vine trailing from the other side of the door to even things out a bit.

You can incorporate the wire into your decorating scheme in any number of ways by using stencils and paint. Or paint a border along the door frame and wall, such as a repeating design and paint the wire into the design.

There are many ways to hide unsightly cables.
Under floorboards in the wall. I personally would never go behind skirting or architrave, as a stray nail or cable can cause damage.
When you take the cable away, you will cause minor touching up of the paint works. so a small chase in the wall will probably be the best way to go.

I like the answer that lothespir gave you. you can also buy a swag and/or the pre-made vines and tack around the doorway to hide them. use cable tacks as not to poke holes in the wires. you can change it out for the different seasons or holidays or just something to compliment your room decor

hard but if your willing then try tracking them in to white plastic casing sunk in to the skirting boards, either that prise the skirtings from the wall and drop the cable behind in to the wall cavity space usually left behind skirtings .easier to buy the white track box and fix to the wall and place the cable in side small plastic corners are also avalible to turn at the top of door ways and corners etc .
