The answer is yes, he can be made to pay.
You have several options.
You could go through your states Attorney Generals office. If paternity was not established, you will have to have a DNA test. Then there will be court and a judge will put an order in for child support. Most states garnish the child support payments from the paychecks. You might also be able to collect past payments.
If the support payments are not garnish then there are places like supportkids.com that can help you collect if you and the AG's office have problems.
I hope this helps!

if you are willing to take him to court for payment and he is in full time employment then yes he can be made pay for his child up untill the child reaches the age of 18 if the child goes on to uni etc then the father can be made maintaine the education cost or part at least .but offical court orders must be put in place even if he fathers anymore children this amount will not change unless a court orders it so .

Very difficult - once your child no longer receives child benefit you are no longer entitled to maintanence. Although you can go for back payment if it can be proved that he had the money to pay you during the child's younger years and didn't. You need to talk to the CSA or a solicitor.

Yes he can be made to pay it. he wont have to pay back unless you've been going through child suport enforcement. If he has a job you just let them know where he's at and they do the rest of it.. You really should try to get a hold of them.

He should still have to pay back child support, check with a lawyer or child support recovery unit in your state.

Your son isn't a child anymore. He is an adult.
So I would say no
You could try to get all the back pay, but the courts would just think that you would just use it for yourself. Since your son no longer needs support.

im 20 and my father was a dead beat and my mom took him to court to pay child support when i was 7 and after i turned 19 i didnt get child support anymore cuz i was legal age to priovide for my self, i was going to take him to court my self but i dropped it cuz i didnt want anything to do with the dead beat anymore! But im pretty sure your child would have to take him to court cuz he/she is legal age. but maybe theres a loop hole i never really looked into it...best of luck to you and your child though! hope this helps.

Yeah. Take his *** to court. He'll have to pay child support now, in the future, and even pay for the years that he didn't.
Unless, of course, he has half custody.
