For me it's logical that if hell is en eternal fire of torment, then a demon might relish being destroyed as apposed to being tortured forever...

He takes away their fun.

Seriously though. There is an abyss. Biblically speaking, it's the nothingness that they fear.

And that's what Buddhists aspire to attain.

Interesting, eh?

Demons should and do fear God, because they know him in his true essences where as we only know what he has allowed to be revealed through his holy word the Bible. Satan is a limited spirit creature governed by the laws of God Almighty. He can't act upon a Christian unless he has God's permission (see Job chapter 1 verses 6-12). Satan and these fallen angels have never suffered any punishment so they therefore don't know or haven't experienced pain. No, God is not going to throw them into Hell. In fact, the Bible states in Revelation chapter 20 verse 10, Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and false prophet is, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Also in chapter 20 verse 14, death and Hell will be thrown into the lake of fire the second death. Therefore you have it in a nutshell, The lake of fire is a much more severe eternal punishment that would be unbearable for Satan, fallen angels, the beast, the false prophet and all of mankind that do not have their name written in the lambs Book of Life. It will be a punishment that not even Mr. Evil himself can handle.

Yes. That is exactly why the devils fear God the Father, Son(Jesus) & the Holy Spirit.

Hell is Eternal Torture for Satan & the Fallen Angels too. Not just just the souls of the Damned, here on earth.

Jesus has defeated satan twice now, the third time is soon coming, and when Jesus comes the third time, ALL of the wicked will be destroyed by fire, their bodies, their breath of life, and even the very memory of them WILL be destroyed, this is the second death from which there is NO resurrection.

I believe that all things fear lack of existence. While hell is definitely a bad place, and demons do kinda live there, they probably fear the possibily of ceasing to exist....which Jesus and God can probly make happen.

It is eternal torment and God will punish them and those still in their own sin, those who refused the gift of Christ's righteousness, those who believed that they are good enough to be excepted by God (Self Rightness)... Jim

Unlike us, they know Him in His true state. We are unable to even gaze upon Him because we will go insane (Moses was able to look at Him only after He had passed by, and Moses' hair went white and he fell to his knees in the shame of his own sins).

But they can and have seen Him, therefore they rightly fear Him.

They know His power, and they aren't in hell right now anyway. They will be thrown in the lake of fire when God says it's time to do that.

hell fire??? probably not the best punishment for a "demon"....
god could destroy them...too easy, too short of a punishment

perhaps sentence them to an eternity of watching reruns of
"my mother, the car"
or
"manimal"
or
"the donny and marie show"
or
"barney" cartoons....
or
