Let's say, you committed a crime- and you go before the judge, and he tells you that you have to spend the rest of your life in prison- because of our justice system- which makes SENSE right? Would you let a murderer go free? NO. So you are standing there and a man steps in- he tells the judge that HE will take YOUR punishment and that you can go free....How would you feel towards that man?
--THAT is what Jesus Christ did for you! So that you could be set free from sin- and inherit eternal life in heaven! He loves YOU THAT MUCH! We dont deserve that. God is Just. God is Holy. And God is Merciful, and Loving- There is no greater love than that a man lay down his life for his friends~John 15:13

This is an analogy of what Christ did for you- And to accept it, you would would be greatful! And you would WANT his gift! The bible tells us to repent of sin, and believe on Jesus- then you will be saved. Repent means to turn from your sin- Start reading your bible and go to a good bible teaching church and/or bible study- This is what keeps you on that path with Christ- this is how WE abide in Christ Jesus~

Oh go peddle your papers.

This same god that is so filled with love said this:

Exodus 11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
11:6 And there shall be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as there was none like it, nor shall be like it any more.
11:7 But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast: that ye may know how that the LORD doth put a difference between the Egyptians and Israel

I am egyptian, so now what?

Amen.

But also realize that the murderer has to repent, show faithin Jesus, and together with God change his life. (rebirth) Gods grace is good but it comes at a price.

The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field. -Matthew 13:44

The man is still giving up his life, but instead of surrenduring it to the world and death, youre giving it to God so that you may find his life. Sometimes you just gotta give up on life to be able to find it!

It's true! That's how the story goes.

I just don't believe it's anything but fiction.

Now, to answer your "question." How would I feel? I would feel grateful and relieved. I'd also think this person is a nutjob, but I wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. I'd say "cool!" and then run like hell.
