Illegal immigrants have brought back Polio and Malaria, while closing down our hospitals. Will a crack down on illeglas, be the start to save America from the return of this old threat ?

It is possible but they are not bringing back polio. Polio has been elimated in the western hemisphere and possibly the entire world.

I'd also like to point out something wrong with what someone else said. He said we call on them to do the jobs we won't do but that's not true. They come here on their own and take them. I have never bought into the idea that they do jobs we don't want to do anyway. If I was looking for work I would like to have the option of taking that job that the illegals are taking.

I don't get how anyone defends illegals... California is the worst with illegals. Make English the official language. Deport illegals and send them to the back of the line.

The thing is ... I don't care if this many immigrants come along. So long as there's a legal process to immigrate, I want ALLL of them to come in via that process.

It seems that you go back in History as it is convenient for you. Why don't you go further back in history before making any judgments. Go back to when the pilgrims( Caucasians) came to This Continent, not Country but CON-TI-NENT. Who was the owner of this land back then?. The native Indians, right! so who was the illegal back then. and I mean they did not cross a river or a boarder looking for a better life for them and their families, but they cross the whole ocean. So the first illegals in this Continent were those pilgrims, your ancestors, who were greeted and accepted in this continent with out any conditions or laws to follow, cause according to History they didn't want to obey the laws on their Country, bringing their diseases along with them. So like that letter that the lady wrote about someone breaking into your house. My question to her is, Who broke into whose House first? Don't bite the hand that feeds you, and don't steal their LAND either. So don't speak like if your race is perfect and you people own the whole "enchilada"(world), because it sounds like white supremacy "KKK". HITLER & FREEMASONRY. In addition Who was the first man that fot infected with AIDS and what was his nationality? Now that is a deadly desease.

Let's Say I Break into Your House

A lady wrote the best letter in the Editorials in ages!! It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV. or on here.

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.

Let's say, I break into your house.. Let's say, that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part). If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard working and honest, um, except for, well, you know.

And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice, and being an anti-housebreaker. Oh yeah, and I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America....if you agree, pass it on (in English). Share it if you see the value of it as a good simile. If not, blow it off along with your future Social Security funds.
