Ok, so the majority of the answers I got from this question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=At7rr3od_OXntf20J5xNftbzy6IX?qid=20061018134240AAAjJsu were that God did create the angels. OK I understand that. Now, since they were created by God and "they are pure in a sense " then how is it that Christians say that God dosent make mistakes?
Didnt he create Lucifer? Didnt he and a third of the angels rebel against God? How is that possible? If God makes no mistakes then this shouldnt have happened. Or did god create Lucifer, and the others, knowing they were going to challenge him, just so there could be evil in the world? And if thats the case, then God is pretty ruthless. Creating a being that he knows will challenge him, he knows will cause evil and destruction throughout the world. Just because he can.
So, How is it possible that God makes no mistakes if he created Lucifer?
Or did he do it JUST so there would be evil in the world?

Ok christian lady, then why did God create him in the first place? God knows everything, even before we are born/created. So God knew what he was doing in creating Lucifer? So God created evil as welll as everything else. Thats what I thought. God is not as good as you think. Anyone that would create evil does not deserve to be called God

Peter K you want me to read a verse. Put it in your answer. Besides I am atheist, the Bible is not true. Why would I believe it anyway?

So, according to most of the answers, it was free will that did it. Well, I will ask again. If God knows everything then why did he create a being, knowing he would challenge God and be the cause of evil in the world?

Jeff E: As a matter of fact I do question the existence of Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny. My children have never believed in any of those things. I raised them that way.Not to be lied to about things that dont exist.

You people just dont get it do you?
Ill try to make it simple.
1) God creates Lucifer, knowing that Lucifer will turn on him and try to take Heaven over. Knowing that Lucifer will lose and knowing that he will cast Lucifer to Earth. Knowing that Lucifer will be the cause of all evil in the world.
2) Since God created Lucifer, knowing all this, God is responsilbe, however indirectly, for the cause of all evil in the world.
3) How can an all loving God create evil? Must not be all love then huh?

Sounds like God made a very big mistake to me. He created a perfect being but then gives it free will? Well then its not perfect is it?

If you really want to look into this it's all in the Bible. God created satan, yes, but if you look in the book of Job, satan asked God if he can do evil upon Job so he(satan) can see Job put down God. God gave him permission, only because He knew Job would not put God down. In a way everything in the world needs God's approval for anything to happen. It may seem cruel and ruthless of God to do all this, but look at all the things man has done against God. God has tried so hard to help us along our(human) way and would have done anything for us, but what did humans do? They turned away from God to worship other gods or because they thought they didn't need God. We keep on hurting God, and yet He forgives us. Anyways, all I'm trying to say is God has a purpose for everything, and He is all knowing. Angels have the same gift as we humans do. Free Will, Freedom of Choice, Freedom to screw up. It wasn't a mistake to make Lucifer, he in a way is a way for us to make a choice. He is our "wrong" choice and God wants us to turn the other way to make a "right" choice. Lucifer fears God as any angel does, so if God doesn't want him(satan)to harm us he can't. I hope this helps you understand a little more into this. Like I said the answer is in the Bible, just find the time to read it.

If this is a tough question, then I'm Peter Pan.

God doesn't make mistakes, he gave man the most precious gift he could think of next to salvation, that is free agency. All mankind existed before we came here, wether or not you believe it it is true. We were there when Lucifer rebeled, we were shocked at his open rebellion.

As humans come to earth they have a vail of forgetfulness so we forget everything that happened. Man and Angels are one and the same, we always were and always will be.

When God created Lucifer God didn't make a mistake, Lucifer used his free agency to rebel against God, along with 1/3 the hosts of heaven. God doesn't make mistakes, even if man thinks he does.

God created beings that could make their own decisions. If he wanted robots he would have made them. Everything has a purpose for the glory of God. Even all the evil that happens is for the glory of God. He has a design for the entire universe and everything does what he tells it to. Including those that he gave the gift of free will. He said we are his children. Do children behave all the time? Do they ever get into trouble? Of course they do and so do angels. If God made a mistake then he wouldn't be God. Everything from the time before time to this moment has a purpose. And that purpose is to glorify God. Even the smallest detail in the world was meant to be. If it wasn't then God couldn't be God. No one can prove to you that there is a God. But no one can disprove it either. People often wonder why God created Satan and the answer was because he wanted to. He knew Satan would be evil but he didn't make Satan evil. Just like I know my son will make mistakes. Every thing has a purpose and Satan's is to show that God is God.
Also, when i make rules at my house they are to be followed. If they are broken then they will be punished and also forgiven. my son might question why I make certain rules but he can not fathom why. When he was 2 years old he wanted to play in the street but I wouldn't let him because he would have been hurt or killed. He is 11 now and he wants to go hang out with a group of kids that come from a family of drug addicts and pedaphiles. he doesn't understand a whole lot of why but that's because I'm protecting him. God is the same way. We don't have to understand why he did everything, just know that he knows more than we do. You're free to make your own decisions, that's the greatest gift God has given to us. Even to people who don't believe. But whether you believe or not, we all have to answer. God is a God of love. No other religion besides Christianity can claim that.

use some common sense here.

GOD created lucifer as a perfect being, lucifer allowed pride into his heart and rebelled against GOD. Now GOD has eternal forknowledge of things to come, so He knew it would happen. Hell was created for satan and his angels not for you or I. GOD didn't allow evil into the world, man did. GOD has just provided the way out but instead of accepting that. Everyone is mad at Him and using every stupid thing they can think of in order to not believe in Him.

Satan started a war but Jesus defeated him and his powers upon the cross.

I think Ridley answered your question with some pretty good logic but you don't seem to have a response for him...could it be you want to believe what is convienant for you so you can live this life without consequences in the next? Of course you do- I do-we all do. But hopefully common sense prevails.
We are not just this body we walk around in-there is a spirit in each of us that longs to be with God who created us or the proud spirit called Lucifer who whispers in our ear that we are exceptionally wiser then the rest and don't need anyone but ourselves.
God doesn't want you or anyone else to go to hell but if you insist he won't stand in your way either. Of course there is an attraction to following your own path but it will lead you to a place where you will ask God for help. I'm not guessing here-just remember this was said to you and intended in the utmost concern for a fellow human being.
As far as the Bible theology goes there will always be questions but if you are really looking for spiritual truths they will be revealed to you in awesome ways. If your looking for ways out those will be there too.
And as far as wanting explanations clearing everything up right now imagine a two year old child demanding why?! when a parent tells them to wash thier hands. The best they can do is to explain that unless they wash, germs might make them sick but the explanation has to stop there because you can't make a two-year old comprehend the science behind it. They have to mature first-that's not an insult to the child-it is just a natural growing process we all have to go experience- like when we set out to seek spiritual knowledge.
I know I got away from your specific question but from my experience (which could very well be wrong here) these kinds of questions seem to lead back to more to the question of God's existance.

Though the angels, and Adam and Eve, were made perfect, they were also given free will to obey the laws of the Almighty or to rebel. They were not programmed to just obey without question.
They knew very well the laws of the Almighty God given to them, yet they became seduced by a mighty angel named Lucifer. Lucifer must have been mighty persuasive in order to convince a third of the angels to follow him instead of God.
Adam and Eve were given free will to decide whatever they want, but they also knew that disobedience would mean a death sentence. Amazing is'nt it ! They were much more superior both physically, and mentally, and had everything going for them, yet they decided to rebel.
So, did God make a mistake? I would say not. God gave them free will, so they would decide for themselves. What they decide is their responsibility. You would think they should have known better.

You 'Lucifer' question is typical. No God did not create a sinful being. Lucifer sinned all on his own, with any help from anyone. Lucifer was created perfect but he became prideful because of his beauty and jealous of Christ for being the only begotten of God. He wanted to be let in on the counsels of God and could not stand the fact that he could not be, him being a created being and all, he could not fathom the mind of God, only the Son of God could do that.

God is a good and loving and just God in all that he does, but he gave his beings, the angels and Man freewill. The world is filled with destruction and evil because Man chose the wrong thing. Apparently Lucifer did too. But God is loving and faithful in all of his ways. You need to make a choice too, I suspect to follow Jesus Christ..

You say you are an atheist. That is your choice because you don't believe there is a God. Do you also put so much effort into the other things you don't believe in; such as Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy. I think you should examine your belief. It looks to me as though you just wish you could have done the creating yourself so you could have done a better job. Let's see... someone to do a better job than God, Hey wasn't that Satan's original sin? Satan the author of all that is evil: rape, murder, hatred, etc. Boy he sure is doing a great job, isn't he. God created the world beautiful. WE SCREWED IT UP. God is trying to save us from our stupid choices. He's trying to repopulate his heaven with those who WANT to be with Him. Hence the freewill to choose. Do yourself a favor. Quit waist your breathe on disprooving God. You'd do better trying to disproove the Tooth Fairy.

Deut 32:3 For I shall declare the name of Jehovah.
Do YOU attribute greatness to our God!

4 The Rock, perfect is his activity,
For all his ways are justice.
A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice;
Righteous and upright is he.

5 They have acted ruinously on their own part;
They are not his children, the defect is their own.

Satan created himself.

Just as you choose to be who you are.

Jehovah is not making you do anything you don't want to do.

Having said that.

The idea or teaching that "God knows everything"

Can Jehovah know everything, yes.

Does Jehovah have to use that ability 100% of the time,

NO.

Just because a person can lift 500 lbs, doesn't mean that person does it 24/7.

When testing Abraham, it was after he had almost lowered the knife that Jehovah said Now I know that you are faithful.

Jehovah lovingly allowed Adam, Eve, and Satan to make their own choice.
