You shouldn't have given it away so quickly. I thought the question was pretty amusing.
And, as a Humanist, I share your admiration for the Amish families who showed such remarkable human compassion for the murderer and his family.

It almost makes you want to become Amish doesn't it...everything that they went through, yet still able to forgive, and the dignity they have in everything they do.
PS: Amish do go through a period of time when they go out into the "real world" to see how it all works. But, they are so...uh...far behind in everything, they 99% of the time go right back to the Amish way of life. So, it's not likely any of them would be using a computer, even during that time.

almost about old Order Amish: automobiles: With very few exceptions, old Order Amish congregations do no longer enable the possessing or use of automobiles or farm tractors. notwithstanding, they'll holiday in vehicles at the same time as necessary. electric powered units: they do no longer use electrical energy, or have radios, television instruments, personal computers, computer video games, and so on. phones: In-residing house phones are literally not regularly allowed. some households have a telephone distant from the residing house.

I'm with you. The Amish understand what Jesus meant when He said, to love your enemies!
