keep sugar from clumping?
i keep some sugar in one of those sugar jars with the pour spout on it for my husbands coffee. now that the weather is changing it is humid and the sugar keeps clumping up and i have to bang it on the table to get it to come out. cant i put something in with the sugar to stop this? like spagetti or something maybe?

I keep them in those jars that have rubber rings attached to the lids and they have latches that are air tight when you close them, I don't remember where I got them, but my sugars never get hard, especially the brown sugar.

You can put some rice in the sugar jar you are using if the spout don't have a very large opening so that the rice don't fall out.

Put a couple saltine crackers or some rice in it. They will absorb the moisture.

The only way to prevent it from hardening is to store in tightly sealed plastic. Even if the plastic bag is inside your canister.
