Do you mean low blood glucose? If the person is conscious they should be given something like orange juice or dextrose tablets (diabetics often carry them around with them for that purpose) and once they are back to normal consciousness (low blood sugar causes confusion) then they should be reminded to follow up with a starchy snack.
Unconscious, put into the recovery position and call for an ambulance.

First aid for high blood glucose (when the patient is unconscious) is recovery position and ambulance.

There are two different kinds of diabetes and both require different treatment.
There is Hypoglycemia, which is low blood sugar. The symptoms for this are:
> Sweaty
> Confused
> Dizzy
> Can lead to extreme drowsiness and then a coma.

treatment for this is to get more sugar into the bloodstream with things such as fruit juice and sweet things. Known diabetics should carry a thing called 'hypostop' which is a gel that is rubbed into the gums or they may carry a glucose injection. Things such as lycosade tablets can also work well.

Hyperglycemia is the opposite, it is too much sugar in the blood stream. symptoms can be:
> Rapid pulse and breathing
> Vomiting
> Strong smell of 'ketones' smells like pear drops or nail varnish.
> Leads on to loss of consciousness

Treatment for this is: This needs medical assistance as they need need insulin and glucose infused slowly to bring levels to normal again.

First, call 911. Then if it is someone other than yourself, make sure that he/she is stabilized in a chair or on the floor (if they have fallen) and try to give him/her some orange juice or a piece of candy or the glucose candy that most brittle diabetics carry with them. If he/she is unconscious, do not try to put anything in the mouth, it could cause choking.

They make a glucose that comes in a tube and you put some under the tongue till medics arrive.
In a pinch you can use tooth paste. A little dab will do ya.

Cal 9-1-1. If it is low sugar, you can try a little bit of orange juice until the EMTs get there.

No. Shockwave therapy is for other conditions. If the neuropathy is painful, ask you doctor about Lyrica or neurontin. Both can work well to relieve the pain.
