The vein is hard and noted. swolen. not red. just hard

Because the IV was not inserted properly or left in a long time. It will straighten out, just give it time. IF it does get red, go to the doctor.

The iv was not inserted probably and damaged a vein it may hell on its own if it continues to bother you or turn red or hot to the touch, go and see a doctor.

i had this happen, turnes out they busted a vein. it went away after a few days. but if it lasts or its just bothering you, then see yr doc. good luck!
