We're involved whether we like it or not. Our allies (South Korea, Japan), are being directly threatened by this madman. If we don't help to defend them, our standing in the world will be nil. North Korea could export its bombs to terrorist groups or other hostile nations with disastrous consequences for us. Also, they are likely working on mounting their bombs on missiles to strike at us with EMP which has the potential of destroying our whole country. We'd better be involved or we're dead!

Assuming North Korea's management went thoroughly nuts... it nevertheless does no longer unfold like that. N. Korea hasn't yet examined a protracted selection missile which could even attain the continental US. yet they are close. apart from, the 2nd N. Korea released a nuclear warhead on the U. S. a one hundred extra could be released decrease back at them. the U. S. has international capacity. they are locked and loaded. basically waiting for the command. Nuclear warheads on nuclear submarines off the coast of Korea they do no longer even comprehend approximately. If it did unfold as you pronounced that they had could desire to bomb all of us, China and Russia, working example. even although they are no longer classic American allies, they nevertheless does no longer take properly to N. Korea beginning nuclear conflict. the completed international does no longer. yet North Korea won't be able to smash the international and that they gained't start up a nuclear conflict.

Involved...yes...we're so involved with so many countries it's not funny. May I remind you of a former Commander n Chief who stated "We will be the peacekeepers of the World." And, as mentioned before, that was Bill Clinton. So, would peace talks work, historically, no, it's a delay tactic and that's all. NK is lined so deep on the DMZ it won't take long for them to take SK. And the Nuc's are there scare tactic. In a sense, we have recreated a cold war between NK and US. It's time for the powers of intelligence to come into play. The world is a giant chess board, and at this moment, we are being played as a pawn, going from one small fire to the next. And nobody should mention UN assistance, we all know the UN is shaky at best.

Too late - we already ARE involved - ever since Bush called North Korea an "Axis of Evil" we were involved.
Years before then, we were on the verge of lifting all trade sanctions against North Korea... They are extremely wonderful with creating vehicles...
*Sigh*
Leave it to the politicians to mess things up. I was looking forward to having some nice zero emissions vehicles...

No, Bush has Iran on his mind even though N. Korea is farther along in their weapons program and the people of NK could use some freedom. The plan is to secure the oil to save oil profits from being attacked.

We've BEEN involved. Ol' chia-head is always trying to play the role of 'bully'. It didn't matter what anyone's foreign policy was. He just likes pushing other people's buttons. His father was like god to the North Koreans and ol' chia-head is just trying to do his best to be a 'god' himself.
Apparently he has something called 'malign narcissism'.

We should have never cut off talks with them in the first place. They actually told us multiple times that they would stop building if we would commence talks with them again but our current administration thinks it's better to try and strong arm people.

We should have never stopped the work that Clinton was doing. Look how much worse it is now that Bush cut off talks and made them all paranoid.
And the cocky neocons are trying to tell us now that the clinton tactics weren't working? COMPARED TO WHAT, GENIUSES, THEY JUST TESTED A NUCLEAR DEVICE!!!!?????

Let China babysit their butts, they're right there.
If NK screws with Japan then we can blast them to kingdom come.
