Probably the same reasons women do. Sometimes it's to get what they want, other times it serves no purpose other than to hurt and confuse.
Men are not the only sex that does this.

men an women both do, so not fair to say one does over the other, playing mind games says a few things, first the person doin the mind games most likely has been hurt many times before thus hurting there self esteem, and needed like conrete answers to things to make them feel secure in a relationship.

People make love alot more difficult than it needs to be. boys and girls try to learn to communicate with each other, but get lost in the translation. Often times both the boy and girl have different aims. When this happens games occur. In a perfect world, when a guy likes a girl, he could just be honest and tell her. they would date, fall in love and get married. we don't live there. My advice to you is to learn to be tough (not hard), and be up front. if a guy wants to play games. then he will lose you. That will teach the men in your life not to play games.

Why do women? Not all men do. I would say the reason some men do is because they think the woman is doing it. I wont play.

For the same reason women do, manipulation and control, a way to fullfill their own selfish desires. Not all men are like that, and not all women are like that. You just have to seperate the bad from the good.

If I ever play mind games it's giving girls who play mind games a taste of their own medicine
but guys just like girls enjoy the idea of wrapping others around their fingers.. and being chased is and ego booster too.
so why do girls play mind games :)
