PB&J
Done the RIGHT way.
1- use 100% whole wheat bread (if it says "wheat" and not "whole wheat" it is likely white bread colored with molases, also it should NOT have high fructose corn syrup).
2- NATURAL peanut butter, If the ingredients say anything except peanuts and water, it is NOT natural (yes, this includes smuckers brand which adds extra, unessecary salt).
3- Crushed Blueberries. Instead of a sugary or sugar free but nutritionless (empty calories with little return in nutrients) jelly use crushed blueberries- good and good for you. If you don't like blueberries you could substitute some other berry.
Smoothies are also an excellent healthy snack if you make them that way.
Use skim or soy milk and plain non flavored yogurt (normally it might be nasty but you are adding your own flavoring).
You can then add in any number of healthy ingredients that don't add to taste but add to the vitamins and boost the quality of the smoothie.
Add plain uncooked (non instant) oatmeal- sounds wierd but it will be chopped up and absorbed into the shake- fiber boost.
Add ground flaxseed- omega 3's
Add some whey protien powder- unless you are a fan of ricotta cheese, then it is the only alternative source of whey protien.
then just add whatever fruits you like but don't add any unatural sugar.

I always bring cucumber and carrots to the office. I sometimes snack on the whole wheat and brown sugar mini wheats when I crave sweet. If you are good at controlling your quantities (portion sizes), healthy trail mixes are always a great snack loaded with dried fruit and nuts. My friend always craves chocolate so she buys those Nutribar meal replacement bars for a snack. I think they also have fruit breakfast bars now. They are supposed to be a balanced meal...
On my bad days...I get an oatmeal cookie

Nuts... particularly almonds. Buy the natural kind; 'smoked' almonds often include vegetable oil in the ingredients (this goes for other nuts, as well). Also, if you are lactose intolerant or believe that milk isn't good for you in general, almonds are a good source of calcium.
