If you're already a Senior, no. It's not worth it. If you're a Junior in High School, yes.

If you've already graduated, definately not.

Your decision. I did. I lost it (long story) and I've always regretted it. True, I wouldn't be wearing it anymore, but it would be nice to have it in my jewelry box as a memento. I've often wondered how I could get a replacement.
I've been reading the other entries and am amazed to find out that people get class rings prior to their senior year. Back in the Stone Age, when I went to high school, a class ring was only available to graduating seniors. Perhaps that's why it means a little more to me than to other younger people. Oh, yeah, my annuals and pictures got caught in a household flood and were ruined, so the ring would have been my only memento of high school. School pride has nothing to do with it. It is a memento of a rite of passage, the transition from schoolgirl to responsible adult.

I say it depends on how much you like your school. My sister got a beautiful ring looked nothing like a school ring so if you went that direction yeah. I got a school ring and never wear it it just sits in my memory box.

It depends on if you like High School and want to remember it. I hated High School so I didn't get a ring. They are kinda out dated though. They aren't as popular anymore, especially for girls,

Not really. I got me an expensive one and I wore it like 5 times. It's just a waste of money if you ask me now!!! Buy yourself a playstation 3 instead!!! Or I'll sell you my ring if I can find it that is!!!

If you're planning on going to college, don't bother. You'll lose it eventually, and if you don't than you'll kick yourself for investing in something like that. Just remember that almost everyone graduates from high school. Your school pride will dissipate as you get older, and your pride at your accomplishment will be far outweighed by other accomplishments.

I don't know, I really liked mine when I got it in 9th grade, and I wore it for a year or something, now it's sitting in my jewelry box drawer, I never wear it and I'm coming up on my 10 year reunion. I might give it to my daughter when she's older. But really I think it was a waste of money

I didn't, but if you love your school that much, why not?

I've got memories and pictures that provide more than a ring ever will.

No, they are a waste of money. Six months after you graduate you won't give two $#%t's about your high school, wanting to remember it, or showing your affiliation to it.

I did, but wish that I hadn't wasted the money. After I graduated, I never wore the thing. If you take notice, you don't see many people wearing them.
