Depends on the maturity of you and her. You have to have SOMETHING in common that you can share with one another, and you should learn, at least to some extent, to share one anothers interests (and like it). Opposites may attract, but unless the couple is mature and willing to adapt (that means both of them adapting), it won't last. But if they do learn to adapt, and if their love is real (and not just based on feelings), then it can last.
The last girl I dated was my polar opposite in every way. We couldn't adapt to each other and it didn't last. The girl I'm now in love with is so like me, its scary! And we get along great! But, you don't have to be exactly alike to get along, you just have to be mature.

if you guys 'click' or get along really well and have a good time when your with each other and look forward to seeing each other again, it should be fine. I think in the long run, differences can get to a relationship, such as, I want to listen Greenday and Creed when I clean house, he can't stand it, he loves classic country and just wants to relax without my 'noise' playing, so I cannot enjoy cleaning as much because he hates my tunes and I feel resentful and visa-versa, see how discord and resentment may build up over time? Everyone is different, many can thrive on this type of arrangement.

I've always believed that opposites attract. Eventually, it will be good for both of you, you can try the things she enjoys and learn to like it, and she will do the same. I used to hate country music, but if you really listen to it? you can actually relate to more of country music then anything else. Learn to like it, maybe not love it. I think it would last, if you were to like the same thing, it would get kinda boring in the relationship, because you would be doing the same thing over and over... and this way, you can try new things with her... good luck to both of you

Funny thing, it happens. People like things that are different, catches your notice.
It could work out, but the differences may make it hard to find something in common do do together. So it may make it harder to last.

Me and my g/f are totally opposite-and i do mean totally! We don't have anything at all in common,we have been together almost 4 years and i do think it has caught up with us,we really don't see eye to eye on anything.I know i love her,but alot has really changed with us both in this past year. But opposites really do attract-so i say go for it-what have you got to loose?

It's not really about your likes and dislikes, it's more about personality. You each see things in each other that you like. I think it could work.
