My oven dial is worn out and I can't seem to figure out how far to turn it to get the oven set to the temperature I want. Not the flames for the burner up top... that I can see with my eyes.. So could you please go to your own oven, look at the dial.. and tell me... in whatever metaphor form you want...ie ( 6 o'clock, 3/4 of the way) how far along the dial 425 degrees is....THANKS

On my oven it is precisely where 5:30 would be on the clock. Obviously oven dials vary immensely , so your best bet is to go out and buy a good oven thermometer. Good luck!

On mine, 400 is directly opposite of the off. Just a smidgen further is 425. Good luck hun. I would suggest an oven thermometer if you can borrow one from a neighbor...

Sorry hon, my oven's brand spanking new and the controls are digital, no dial... only for the stove burners.

This is why you should have a thermometer in your oven.

On mine it is about 3/4
