Why is it that the police are suspicious of minorities that pass through the suburbs yet, whites frequently come into the city to buy drugs at will?
When I say sovreign rights, I am reffering to the ability to go places unimpeded by harrassment and to have an officer pry into your personal business.

Part of what made the U.S.A. great is the constitution , that all men are created equal and have the same rights, but is distorted so much that what worked once is no more! We live in a very prejudiced society where the whites taught themselves superior and made sure everyone knew it! And decades of humilliations , imprisonment , poor educational and living places have cause a lot of crimes , disrespect and hatred. Take a 5 yr old child , treat him different , punish and talk down to him , make fun of him , at lunch take his food away , ridicule him , this for 5 or 6 yrs , in elementary school and by the time he is 14 under all this hatred ,the child is ready to get back if you will at who he thinks is responsible for the abuse, could be his own parents or complete strangers , but he will do something to get in trouble! So many young people end up this way , and when the parents complain ,they are arrested for breaking the law! Yes now in 2006!

As a white person, I've had quite a few run ins with enforcement officers. This question only serves to reinforce a dead form of thought. Crawl off into the bone yard and fade out with the old guys who still feel a need to hang onto such silliness.

People, this is America, Home of the Free. If you do something stupid, you pay the legal price for it. Keep your noses clean, and your goals clear. We can still be a great country, but, please, for the love of God, the 1960's are OVER!! Be modern. Be an American, and stop making excuses by playing the "race" card. Because, the last time I checked, we were still the human race. I don't believe in this white power bs, or the black power bs, or any other power, except for the power of the People.

Have you heard of the word "stereotype"? That is all you hear from the media, except for an occasional entertainer or sports figure. The average white person is very much into the drug scene, because they can get away with it. And its no big deal when they are caught, but take a minority and it becomes front page news. Only in America!

It depends on where you live. I can assure you that a white man in a tie driving through a minority neighborhood here will be stopped. He's looking for something, they're going to ask what. Minorities in the suburbs is common enough that they don't get stopped. Down south, out of state plates will be more likely to get stopped no matter what color the driver is.

In this world we cannot know what a person is, we can only know what he/she appears to be. If he/she dresses like a bum and behaves like a bum, when we see that person we think he/she IS a bum.

Appearance and behavior is important. It goes a long way in how other people will treat you.

Police are just people and they judge others by how those others behave. If a gang dresses alike and behaves alike, it is normal for other people to characterize the individual members as alike.

People don't go around with signs on their backs saying "I'm a good person." But the way they dress and behave tends to say the same thing.

Remember the saying, "All cats are grey in the dark."

All people in the US have the same rights. The problem is that some minorities tend to do everything they can to screw those rights up... For example, if a police officer is trying to catch a criminal in certain minority dwelling places, those people do everything they can to get the cops out. They scream racism, but when it comes time for them to need a police officer, they complain that it takes too long.

whites have the same rights as blacks and anyone else in this country...i love how people blame all their hardships on white people...

funny thing i saw the other day...i was watching Conan and Carlos Mencia was on and he brought up a very good point...why is it that Mexicans and blacks can have stickers on their car that says black and proud or Mexican and proud and it is perfectly fine but if a white guy has white and proud he is automatically called a racist...i just think that everyone is so scared to say something or do something that might be misunderstood as racist but if anyone else besides a white guy does it it is OK...it is just a disgusting double standard...more than half the white people in this country didn't have anything to do with slavery or oppression but all white people are grouped into one category.

A nation has sovereign rights...no person, minority or not has sovereign rights.

But minority Americans have the same rights as white Americans. (On paper anyway.)
