I looked at Allrecipes and didn't find what I was looking for. I want a recipe for beef and noodles that just basically beef and noodles. No veggies. Something that is saucy and goes over mashed potatoes. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!

Are you sure you want to put noodles over mashed potatoes? Do you mean beef and gravy over mashed potatoes. Sorry never heard of those combos. I would cook a roast with carrots, celery and onions, and ladle the cooking/juice sauce over the mashed potatoes or noodles -- or make a gravy with the pan drippings. Hope that helps.

I'm confused.
Maybe you can add your (cooked) beef to this sauce, then mix with your noodles, then over your mashed potatoes?!

"Brown Sauce" - 1 cup

2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 thin slice onion
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup beef broth (canned, or dissolve 1 beef bouillon cube in 1 cup boiling water)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Heat butter in skillet over low heat until golden brown. Add onion; cook and stir until onion is tender. Discard onion.
Blend in flour. Cook over low heat, stirring until flour is deep brown. Remove from heat. Stir in broth. Heat to boiling; stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in salt and pepper.

I don't expect you are going to find a recipe with noodles that go over potatoes. One starch is generally enough for most meals.
