Rumor has it that prenatal vitamins speed up hair growth however, Your hair is genetically determined to grow at a certain rate and to a certain length. If your health is optimal and you're receiving all the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients your body needs, then there is no biological way to speed up hair growth.
However, if you lacking in certain nutrients, then your hair growth may slow down.
If a vitamin supplement gives you those nutrients, then you may regain your optimal hair growth. So, vitamins will help hair growth only if you were deficient in those vitamins in the first place.

Apply castor oil to your hair once a week. Heat it up a little bit in a bowl of hot water and massage thoroughly. Leave on for at least 1/2 h or over nigh, if you can, then shampoo off. I'm not a hair oil fan at all. But this works. Castor oil is good for your hair in many ways. It helps restore the natural moisture balance of hair, as it can "attract" water; castor oil is a humectant.

Once or twice a week if you can ask someone to give you coconut oil massage to your hair and scalps may help you. In summer you can leave it for half hour. In winter 10 minutes. (warm the oil by pouring into a container and place it in the hot water.) It will not speed up but it will help growing. Unless you have other medical problems.

If you want hair to grow faster, you have to take supplements that work on your body chemistry to support hair's growth and strength at its genesis.....once it has grown out, it is just dead keratin
Try GNC, they make a supplement called "Nourishair" in formulas for men and women..they are HUGE pills and you have to take 2 daily. There is also a "Hair skin and nails" formula from Andrew Lessman that you can google, that has great ingredients and is easier to swallow, made by ProCaps labs. You can also take large doses of Biotin, sometimes called Vitamin H, take no less than 2500 micrograms daily to support healthy hair growth.

Not really. Hair grows by itself like your nails.
Hair actually grows 2ins in the summer and less in the winter. So you will have to wait until next year now.
What about getting tempoary hair extensions?

Hope this doesn't offend anyone... but i heard that the chemicals you release when you're sexually excited can help make your hair grow faster! Might be totally crazy but could be fun trying it out?!?!

as you must realize hair comes from dead cells, the best way to have your hair grow faster is to eat as healthy as possible and the more water you drink the more your system will get rid of toxins allowing your system to work on what is important to you, as much as we would all like it no miracles there...

Don't hold on to the dead ends. Use a silk or satin scarf on your head at night. Invest in a good brush and comb. There's a hairdress called Root Stimulator Olive Oil Treatment. You might want to try it.

1) Eat sufficient amount of protein: Protein consists of essential amino acids, necessary for creating new cells, including hair cells. The amino acids necessary for proper hair growth are: cystine, cysteine, methionine, arginine and lysine. Insufficient intake of protein over a long period, forces hair to go in the resting phase. They fall off after some time. Hence include adequate amount of protein-rich food in your diet. The best dietary sources of protein are lean meats, fish, poultry, eggs, dairy products, nuts, grains and seeds. Ensure 15% of your daily calories should be derived from protein-rich foods.
2) Eat sufficient quantity of good carbohydrates: Carbs are the most important source of energy. They contribute to the development of body tissues, including hair. They are a vital source of B vitamins, necessary for healthy hair. However, you should eat non-refined carbs instead of sugars and white flour. Ensure you eat plenty of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, brown rice and potatoes. Try to get 55-60% of your daily calories from non-refined carbohydrate-rich foods.
3) Maintain a proper balance between dietary fats: Fat found in animal as well as plant foods is necessary to produce energy. Consume a mixture of lean animal and plant sources to get a healthy combination of fats. 25-30% of daily calories should come from fatty foods.
