yes. it's called hot OIL because the oil is used to moisturize dry hair. a leave-in conditioner can also help.

it depends of what you did for yopur hair to become dry in the first place, when you have dry hair it is as important to have moisturizing shampoo as well as treatments because if you undo the damage control with a shampoo that will strip your hair of the valuable oils that you so desperately try to infuse in your hair, but if you have the right products hot oil will restore moisture to your hair but not fix what is broken, for damaged hair it is important to have them cut as often and as much as possible till you have taken off the split ends...
