umm...ok
i like this guy...we have been friends for a year and everyone things we should start dating.
i dont know what i should do
should i ask him out and risk ruining our friendship (maybe not totally ruin it, but it might change things between us) , or should i just wait for him to ask me out (which might never happen). If you have a better idea, that's certainly welcome to. I really am scared to ask him, i guess it's like a fear of rejection. But I really want to start a relationship with him...please help!!!
ps
i really dont want to embarress myself by saying something stupid. i dont have a lot of confidence in the "dating" field but Id like it if someone could help...please

Just ask him out. What are you waiting for?

Whatever you do (including nothing!) will "change" things a bit... friendships & relationships are ALWAYS changing over time.

Definitely better to put the possibility out in the open, you never know till you take a chance! Yes it is scary but if you don't, you will forever wonder what if?....

I can't tell you "how" (I'm trying to figure that out right now too!) but seriously, if "everyone" can see it, he's probably thinking about it too and is just as scared as you are.

First of all I hope you are old enough to go out not 13. Anyway some people are just meant to be friends. The people you go out with have the qualities that you are looking for in a partner. Stick to being friends.

Ok,
so you both know you have tons in common.
If there's a dance going on durnig this week
like on fri. write him a note b4 class sayin:
"Hey,could you please take me to this dance?"
"I think you'll like this a lot,here's my #." Then
give him your # and have him call you @ a
comfertable range like for me:any where between 7:30 and 8:00 pm. It gives me more time to get ready if the dance starts @ 10:00. If he says yes, then that'll b your 1st date. And tell him that
it'll only b official if both whoever he lives with and you live with agree to letting you guys go. -Ms.Sarah Lynn Nickels

If i were you and you liked him then i would go out with him. You dont' have to say anything stupid like i love you or anything. Just a simple question would do. Something like hey would you like to go on a date with me or something like wanna go out and get dinner together sometime. I'd say if he likes you and he hasn't made the first move then he's shy so you should make the first move.

Same thing happened to me and almost all of my guy friends. I started worrying about it, I couldn't be myself around them anymore because I started looking at them like they were REAL guys and not just friends. Finally I just said to my self, he likes me as a friend which means he likes me, which means I have a shot. It did change our relationship, but I think we are closer for it. Go for it, who cares if you act dumb or if he isn't interested, just fake it and say you were just kidding!!

Let him take the initiative and ask you out! You deserve that for him to ask you! Men pursue, women are receptive!

Even if it takes him 15 years (You'd probably be married to someone else by then) ...let him do it.

Best of hopes to you!
