They sure can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A dog can get bred by several dogs if unattended, and each puppy starts with a single egg, so whatever sperm gets there first, fertilizes it. And not all eggs are released at the same time.
That is why it is important to keep an close watch on in heat females!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is for BLOODHOUND...who is a total loser.....................

And as for people, is has happened that a woman was pregnant with twins and one was fathered by one man and the other twin by another man. Two eggs released at different times and fertilized at different times. Watch more Discover Health Channel!!!!!!

A female dog CAN be impregnated by more than one dog. It's 24 hours (I believe) after the first egg is fertilized that the unfertilized eggs are discarded. Regardless, experienced breeders know this is possible and always take every precaution to ensure that the female is mated with one, and ONLY one, male.

They can, but the suprize of the AKC's allowing multiple sires with DNA testing was that it's VERY rare that they do! Usually the male who was there at just the right time sires the entire litter.

Yes they can. If a female dog is bred by different dogs, you could essentially have puppies with different dads.

YEP!!! That's a fact!!! That is why you should ONLY buy from reputable breeders & NOT Pet Stores or from ads in the paper from backyard breeders. You never know what you're getting for your money.
To keep it from happening to your dog, have her spayed!!!!
