i smoked the same night well I took a couple of pulls through out the whole 3 days that you are not supposed to smoke. But I didn t smoke as much as I usually do. And I was really careful. I also rinsed after. except for the first night.

Now the site is yellowish and I have a very bad taste in my mouth. my tooth doesnt hurt at all. It just feels like i have something in my mouth.
I take my antibiotics on time. I stopped taking the pain medication when the pain stopped.

What is it supposed to feel like after 5 days?

It's the stitches.

They are ready to come out. They stink like he// at 5 days.

I don't think it's stitches most qualified oral surgins are using disolvable stitches now days. By making the sucking motion on the ciggaret it is possible that you sucked the clots out of your incisions. You probubly have what's called "dry sockets" It can be very painful, and inhibits the healing process. Go see your doctor, and stop smoking.

Sounds like it might be infected (the yellowish color). I definitely wouldn't smoke anymore until you can get in and see the oral surgeon who extracted your teeth. I smoked about a week after I had mine removed(5 yrs ago) and had no problems. I would just make it a point to get to the doctor.

Ouch...and YUK! Go back to your doctor...maybe its infected or the stitches are ready to come out. When are you due to get them out? Couldnt you have put a patch on that night and not smoked! I think I can remember doing the same thing....only I was lucky...it will be fine stop worrying....

Get a followup at the clinic where you had the teeth out. Don't tell them about smoking. Just let them see it and say you don't know what happened!

you need to go back to your dentist... not smoking isn't to prevent germs from getting in... it's to prevent "dry socket". it can become incredibly painful and takes a while to heal.

my bf got his pulled 10/10 so we learned all about smoking and dry socket.

If it isn't the stitches it may be infected and you definetly should go have that checked by the dentist.

You have described a dry socket just perfectly. Go back to your dentist and he/she can help you before it hurts like ****, too.

You were told not to smoke. What in the world were you thinking?

Geez.
