How long should I cook them on the grill? Do I just put marinade sauce on them and throw them on the grill?

Do I need to put something like flour on them, or can I bbq them just the way they are?

Just BBQ sauce. It is best if you have the time to marinate them in the sauce for a couple of hours before grilling.

Be sure to brush on some additional sauce when you turn them on the grill.

As for time, this is more art than science since the temperature of the grills vary widely. In general it takes about 20-30 minutes.

No flour.... Marinade first. While the grill is getting hot. Cook over indirect heat turning often for about 30 minutes. Hit them with BBQ sauce the last five or ten minutes.

Light your grill and wait about 15 to 20 minutes while it gets really hot. Wash chicken, pat dry with a paper towel, season with seasoned salt, a little garlic, and pepper. Place on the BBQ but turn every five to 10 minutes to prevent burning. When the chicken is 80% done, pour BBQ sauce into a bowl and spread over legs with a pastry brush, turning the legs until lightly coated. If your grill has two levels, place the legs on the higher level to prevent burning and let them sit there for about 10 - 15 minutes with the lid down. You are good to go for dinner!

Let marinate in white wine vinegar, olive oil, garlic powder and the dried herbs of your choice for 2-3 hours, turning occasionally. DO NOT FLOUR. Grill over a moderate bed of coals ( or medium on a gas grill ) about 30 minutes, turning once. Brush on sauce (KC Masterpiece is a good one) and continue to cook until juices run clear, about another 10-15 minutes. Add sauce as needed, turn as chicken blackens. I would recommend doing leg-thigh quarters rather than just legs. If you have a meat thermometer, I believe chicken should be cooked to 160'.

If using BBQ it will take a long time to fully cook the chicken and it will taste to smokey unless you use a suace or dip in something to keep the full intensity of the smoke out. If you are using a gas grill, the best way is to season them with what you like, I prefer lemon pepper, italian seasoning, spicy paprika, and possibly some thyme, then wrap in foil like a baked potato. This trick works because rather you remove the skin or not you will not char the outside of the chicken and the foil captures escaping moisture and keeps the chicken juicy, also traps seasoning flavors and roasts them into the meat.

Depending on temp of grill cood for probably 30 minutes, use pointy object and stab into the leg, watch for red juices to come out, if so, cook longer, if white, done!

When you bbq them you can marinade them, or just put some kinda sauce on them, then put them on the grill. When you fry them, I like to coat them in flour with a little seasoning and then put them in a little oil. MMMMMM. They are really good. you dont want flour on them for the bbq. Chicken can be tricky, throw them on after you marinade, and remember the slower you cook them the better. Always cut open a piece and look at the inside before serving to be sure they are done.

Flour, is for deep frying mostly.

cheat and use bbq sauce from the store :)
I prefer kraft mesquite
throw em on the grill and keep basting the chicken with the bbq sauce. when the you pierce it with a fork and the juice is clear its done!! yummy!
