why should i eat cow's meat rather than dog's meat?does anyone have a recipe with dog's meat?

No reason its just a bit taboo in some cultures.
In France and the Netherlands it is common to eat horse but in the UK it is not.

As others have said, there really isn't a valid reason NOT to consume dog, or cat, for that matter.

There are instances in the Philippines and China where dog is served. In these areas, however, there is a huge distinction between "food grade" dog and the family pet. Also, dog is only eaten at 1.) a specific time of the month, or 2.) to reverse the luck of the consumer. Also worth noting, the breed being consumed is a specific breed (I was only able to find out it was "small with very short fur), and the dog must be made scared or angry, apparently the sudden rush of adrenaline makes the meat taste better (no personal experience so I do not know for sure).

I would argue though that economic factors would come into play if it were me. If I am on the brink of starvation, Rex is dinner.

As for recipes - I would imagine that any recipe that is suitable for a rabbit or squirrel would be fine. Again, I do NOT have any personal experience, but from what I have read I can only surmise.

You have to look at it from the shelters point of view. A woman comes in, dumps a dog with no vaccines and then the next day, someones upset because they want it back. I think that would be frustrating for anyone working in a shelter. If a healthy, well-fed dog didn't eat for six days, it still probably wouldn't loose enough weight to look like what you described. It's possible the dog could've gotten sick while in the shelter. A shelter is a very stressful place, so even with food offered, your dog may have refused to eat. Without being able to run tests or see your dog in person, no one here can diagnose it.

Because dog meat is stringy and chewy much like all carniverous mammals meat.

Also Dogs are not farmed and slaughtered in a humane manner and are more often that not tortured, beaten or electrocuted or death as those dirty bastareds that eat them think adreneline makes them taste better, so do this in front of other dogs.

If you want something different try Kangaroo, Kudu, Zebra, Crocodile, Ostrich or any othe number of exotic meats that are now becoming more available.

Actually your a bit sick for even considering eating a dog.

cows are herbivores and there flesh is clean, dogs a carnivores and they eat anything meaty including the maggots on it there flesh is not really palatable. I know you can eat dogs meat but you are better asking this question from the far east where they do it. You can try to eat my dog if you like he a eleven and half stone rotweiler. bet he eat you first. You are cruel.

I would have a lot of trouble killing a dog. Killing a cow would be slightly easier.

no reason other than dog meat is rather gamey and sour tasting. Cattle is bred and fed for optimal flavor and yeild, wheras a dog (unless it were raised for consumption) will be tougher and less tasy as the dog has less fat and has a less controlled diet.
also in many cultures it is considered uncouth, as dogs are seen as companions and workers, rather than food.

Come and try it with my dog, he will eat you my Bullmastiff and then I will save on feeding him for a while.And you won't get much meat of a Yorkie terrier!
