Satan doesn't SPEAK to people (that I am aware of). He tries to find a weak spot in us Christians and waits for opportunities when we are vulnerable to knock us down. For example, let's say your weak spot is losing your temper, and you know it. You try to be long-tempered, but Satan will make you feel like garbage when you do lose your temper. Then you feel guilty, despondent, and hopeless. You feel like no matter how hard you try, you can't change yourself, and you'll never be patient or be able to control your temper. Then you feel like you can't even witness to others like we're supposed to, because you aren't a good example of a Christian. So that is where Satan wins - even though he can't take away your salvation, he can do his best to keep you from encouraging others to come to salvation. Satan is an opportunist. And he's a liar, because you really CAN change those weak spots, but you MUST have God's help.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Yes actually. He claimed that he was St. Michael the Archangel. His voice was creepy. I could tell he was fibbing because what he said didn't match what the Bible taught.

Satan told me that I would obtain a job to pay for my $3,500 a month mortgage. I wound up in jail instead.

Satan led me to believe that my parents would accept my wife. Instead, they blame her for my incarceration.

Satan convinced me that my sister would help me. Instead, she passed out drunk and wouldn't answer the door when I needed her help.

He didn't really have a voice and I knew he was fibbing the entire time but what was I supposed to do?

In response to the poster who quotes from the book, God gives Satan permission to test his flock to see how they respond. For example, Simon Peter was tempted to deny Christ, which he did 3 times. The Lord forgave Simon Peter and never turned his back from him. Saul killed many Christians but he repented and preached the Gospel to many who accepted. Satan tempts me with mental illness and short temper when it came to my family, my wife, the police and everyone else. With grace in God, I have overcome many of these issues but there are many more ahead.

The Bible replaced into written via adult men that the Holy Spirit, the third individual of the HOly Trinity, guided to evangelise and write. devil's powers are constrained. He did divide the Church that Jesus started with the 12 apostles. it is why the actual Church, the Catholic Church, replaced into torn and Christianity now has thousands and thousands of denominations. Jesus started one church, adult men started each and all of the others. We, any and all of mankind, won't be able to attempt the Holy Spirit. this may well be a sin interior itself. It deliver forth doubt and mistrust to our ancestors, our mothers and fathers, our priests, our popes, the authors of the Bible, and consequently God HImself. devil can no longer make us sin, he can in basic terms placed temptations infront human beings, like he did with Eve. whilst we hear issues approximately faith, we could pray to the Spirit for the present of discernment and then he will tutor us what's actual and what's fake. that's form of like whilst a newborn asks his be certain a question and he can p.c. to have faith or to no longer. He could have faith his mothers and fathers answer via have confidence and having faith in his be certain and understanding afterwards, by using adventure and what he hears others say if his be certain instructed him the actuality or no longer. definite, some circumstances the devil places lies infront human beings. and each from time to time all of us comprehend that's a lie ideal from the beginning up and each from time to time we discover out later it replaced right into a lie. as quickly as all of us comprehend it replaced right into a lie, we could tutor decrease back to God and locate the actuality. whilst God provides us the actuality, which He continually does ideal from the beginning up, we comprehend it and haven't any doubts later on. that's how faith grows, i think of. God in no way unearths our sins exciting. He cries for us, His babies, basically like I made my mothers and fathers cry as quickly as I did incorrect issues (great or small). He created us and needs us all with Him yet He has given us the p.c. to love Him or deny Him. i'm particular it problematical for Him yet that's what love is, unconditional love provides freedoms. God bless!

My former boss, who I firmly believe was a minion, told us that we wouldn't have any application problems once we switched to a published application environment.

He had a meek, soft voice.

I didn't know he was lying per se, but I knew he was full of crap (or brimstone if you prefer!)

...His biggest lie, and one that most believe, is that you can be your own god, that you don't need Jesus, and you can make to Heaven by your own merits.
...The other one probably is the lie that he does not exist.
