Any quarrel here would be over the definition of the word 'myth'. I use the deepest and broadest.
Mythology does not refer to pagan, polytheist theology, or to fables, fairy tales, or other such fabulous things.
At its deepest level, it is the study of psychological truths expressed as stories, fictions if you will.
The parables of Jesus can be treated as myths, in that they are psychologically true. The moral of these parables inculcates a deeper understanding of what Jesus taught.

If u've ever read mythology, u will notice it is like fanciful storytelling, legends that described the world to superstitious people who didn't understand the world around them. Christianity does contain records of miracles, but it is listed as history, with eyewitness accounts and not even Jesus' enemies ever denied his existence or his miracles. In fact, it was for those reasons that they wanted to kill him. Even though i'm religious, i don't think it should be taught in schools cause nowadays there are too many different beleifs and it would cause problems and chaos and be just as bad as communism was cause it was forced on the people.

What if all religion is mythology? Then a "yes" answer wouldn't really matter, just relegate Christianity to what it will be a 1000 years. You think the Greeks didn't believe in Zeus as fervently as Christians believe in Christ? Tell me what is different...anyone. At least they believed everyday events were caused by gods and didn't totally wing it on faith and miracles.

no, and it already is banned. It should be put back in. I find evolution to be an incorrect theory, a good theory, but incorrect. So why does my child have to learn something I do not believe in. I think your child should learn something about God, too. If nothing else, at least for the history.
