All Betty Crocker "Fudge Brownies" packages dated expiration date Aug 2007 and Sep 2007 are defective and cannot be eaten. Yet groceries stores across California are still selling the defective product.

By defective I mean inedible. The brownies lack moisture and burn prematurely, and the surface and insides of the brownies are hardened into a piece of dark rock.

Edible brownies cannot be produced using this mix with Aug 2007 or Sep 2007 expiration date.

Most grocery stores will not take things like that off of the shelves, as they have no reason to. They are allowed to sell them as long as they are still able to be donated to food places.

I used to work at a grocery store and if something was recalled, there would be no reason for us to take it off the shelves unless the food inspectors came in with a certain order saying it was to be taken off of the shelves.
