I am an Agnostic. I think that a god of some sort may exist, but that does not mean I believe it is the god of the Christian bible. There are thousands of other faiths, thousands of other possible deities. Most likely, no one has yet discovered the truth about what god or gods there may be. Based upon the questionable content of the bible, I've pretty much ruled that out as being the truth.

Um... ok. Most people who use the term "believer" reserve it for people who believe in the divinity of Jesus, which I do not. But call me what you like. It's fine with me.

Uh, sweetheart? You can't tell me what I believe. Jesus was a man who gained a cult following 2000 years ago. Please respect my beliefs and stop trying to twist what I say into what you want to hear.

Stop deluding yourself. Not everyone believes as you do. There are millions of people the world over who don't believe Jesus was divine, and I am one of them. I could care less what you believe, but I do not share your beliefs.

Whatever, buddy. Have fun deluding yourself.

Techincally, agnostic is the belief that the matter of whether God exists or not is unavailabe. Whether the of knowledge of God's existence is temporarliy unavailable or permanently unavailabe is also not necessarily known to an agnostic. So agnostics basically reserve their own judgement. There is neither good enough evidence for nor against God's existence.

Atheists on the other hand believe that God definately does not exist. They will go to lengths to describe all the reasons why. To them, the matter is not in question at all.

If someone claims to be agnostic and that God does not exist, then they are grossly misrepresenting agnosticism. Whether or not the bible is a myth is pretty much beside the point. The truth of God's existence or non-existence is not dependent on whether the bible is the true word of God or not.

I am not willing to make the leap of faith required to become an atheist. I don't know if there is a god. I do believe that if there is a god he is nothing like what the Protestants believe -- and probably not what the Catholics believe. I hope (and even pray) that he is nothing like what the Jews and Muslims believe.

The truth is that if I were given absolute proof that god exists, I would not change the way I live at all.

Not only do I not know if God exists -- I don't really care.

I certainly don't claim to be agnostic so that Christians think more highly of me than they do atheists. That idea is just laughable.

That's a funny question. Usually, people to go the other way, asking if atheists are really agnostics. They say that any reasonable atheist should recognize that there is no way to disprove the existence of God. By admitting this, you are saying that you're not sure whether or not God exists and are thus an agnostic.

And contesting the Bible doesnt make one an atheist or even an agnostic. God can exist without a Bible.

No, an agnostic would not know if there's a God or spirits or not. An atheist makes an act of religion to deny that there is a god or something or absolutely everyone like that. " i don't know" could be an trustworthy answer, yet you are able to desire to proceed to earnings the possibilities and advantages of an answer to The question( "what's the which ability, purpose and project of existence?"). i would not discover agnosticism emotionally or in any incorrect way pleasing or a success in existence and that i don't discover atheism mathematically probable or morally or in maximum senses functional.

There are different levels of agnosticism. Agnostic Atheism is one such level. Athiests can be labled as agnostics at the extreme end, whereas on the other, less intense end you have people who believe there is a higher power. However, those that believe this are usually unsure of what that higher power really is.

In the middle you have an intermixing of the various levels.

there are no atheists and ill prove it.

imagine a circle. this circle represents the entirety of knowledge.
not one person in the world could claim that they know everything that the circle encompasses, even the smartest person in the world would have to admit that their own knowledge is only a small percentage of all knowledge.

that being stated, an agnostic says "Im not sure that there is a God"

an atheist says "I Know there is no God"

This is an impossible statement to logically make being that the knowledge of God could potentially exist outside of their percentage of all knowledge.

Some people are not sure if there is a God

no one knows 100% that there is no God.

I believe there is a God and he will reveal himself to you if you seek him through his holy word the Bible

god loves you and so do I

No. Try reading some books besides the bible. I believe there may be a higher power, but for all we know it could be a giant alien that is playing us like a chess game. I do not believe or accept any religion, including Christianity. Basically ditto what girl wonder said.

Agnostic is a word invented by a Victorian called Thomas Huxley so what were agnostics before that-did they just suddenly appear in the 19th century? As far as I'm concerned agnosticism is dishonest-surely it amounts to straightforward disbelief and agnostics should admit that.

No Agnostics are really Christians in disguise.
To an Atheist, God is not a question, no evidence, no question.
Agnostics claim to not know, thus they do think these things are possible:
You can create and destroy matter.
And that a supernatural realm might exists.
No real Atheist would consider such things
