If my sheridan were here he'd be appalled.

Well Hyacinth, the Chinese are a very ancient civilisation, you know. But wouldn't it be a coup for one of your candelight suppers if you could have the ambassador as a guest?? LOL!

Well, Hyacinth, you should go to the Home Office and demand that the chinese takeaway change their number. After all, their number should not be so close to a residential number with a white slimline telephone. They have nerve!

If you can afford the calls you can speak to whomever you like but here are two options - 1. take orders and agree a discount from the takeaway 2. change your number. Problem solved. Move on.......

First of all, check that the restaurant hasn't printed your number on a menu by accident. If that's not the problem and it's just idiots who can't dial a number correctly, tell the idiots. If you want to be helpful you could offer them the correct number, but that's not required.

If it's really persistent then speak to your phone company and get your number changed.

Contact the chinese restaurant and tell them about the problem. Or just change your number. Why would you call the Chinese Embassy? Do you think they would care?

Talk about a business opportunity. You should try to sell your phone number to the chinese place. If you're getting that many calls for them they might give you a good price for it.

I would just start taking all the orders that they give you... when they call back to complain tell them its a private residence and if they would have checked that the first time they would have their oder by now - lol

Take the order, and then pass it on for a 10% cut.
