You should talk to your doctor about this. There are special orthopedic type shoes that can be made for you and therapy treatments to help the lymph system drain better. Occupational therapy can help with lymph drainage as well as adaptive needs and equipment.

I don't know about where to find the shoe but I think I can help you with the swelling. You need to massage your leg but the trick is you massage it up. From foot to hip. Never Never down. You have horrible circulation and what ends up happening is the blood gets stuck in the foot. Do you find out that its extremely cold? Thats poor circulation. At first you will find it's a little tender and you may not want to massage it up but that does go away after a while.
I hope you have luck with the shoe :-)

Try www.cosyfeet.com, I have bought shoes from them for my mother in law who has the same problem. On some styles they will supply mixed pairs i.e. a 6 in the left and a 7 in the right. I have ordered off the net and never had any problem.

Mary you may have water retention,go see you gp he should give you medication for this.In the mean time keep your leg elevated higher then your heart if you can. Also if you are having problems with shoes your gp may be able to help you, explain to him and he may refer you to the appliance dept in your hospital, they will measure and do a plaster cast off your foot and make you a pair off shoes but you may have to pay for these.Good Luck

Try this:

They aren't easy to find, are they? If they don't sell what you are looking for, call a local shoe store and ask them who sells them. They should be happy to tell you.
