If you go to the office where you get the help benefits. They will be able to give you a list of numbers. The numbers are in all different places. But I have been in your position. My daughter is 10 months old. I finally just got a better job. I am just now going to be off welfare. Salvation armmy has toy donations. Go there and sign up. they will give you so many toys for your baby. And clothes. There is also an organization called "operation blessing". They will help you with pretty nuch anything you need. Just put it as your keyword. They will give you what ever you need. Also there is toys for tots. That is usually advertised in the christmas season. Always in the news paper. Or look it all up online. I hope I could Help. and god bless you and your baby. I wish your family happiness and health. GoodLuck

Go to your local Salvation Army and ask to be put on the toys for tots list. Also, call some of your local churches and ask if they have any plans to do a toy drive for Christmas this year. Many church programs have an adopt a family for Christmas. Your family will be easy to buy for since there are only two of you. Good luck. I hope your daughter has lots of stuff to open up this Christmas, if nothing else she has a mother who loves her enough to put up a question like this in an answer forum risking embarrassment. God bless you and your daughter.

Well, ur lucky she is only 7 months old. She won't really know what is going on. But however you will. Join a church. My local church offers free food to familys that need it. As well as around the holidays gifts for children. I would personally, save for gifts for her in the future. Like when she is 3 & 4 and knows what's going on. She is the best Christmas Present you could ask for!

It all depends on where you live. I know that our church collects gifts to give to needy families at Christmas time. Many churches that have food pantries do this. You might want to make contact with churches like this in your area.....and you also get any other types of assistance that they offer. (Also, are you on WIC? If not, you really should. You can get assistance with formula, infant cereal, and juice. Then you could have a little more available cash.) You might want to contact the Salvation Army and see how they can help you. If they can't help you with presents, I am sure that they can help you find out who can.
I hope this helps you out!
Good Luck!!
God Bless!

the salvation army has sign ups starting this month- they help, and some churches do too. No honey, it is NOT your fault-the best thing you can do for yourself and your daughter is for you to go back to school. Also, take her bum father to court for child support-even if he's not working, there is a monthly mininum he will HAVE to pay. Good luck- I've been where you are. It's tough, but you can do it. You don't need a man to survive.
****call the salvation army ASAP ok?

The local fire department and Salvation Army.
Also, if you or your child were ever victims of abuse or neglect, you could go to the local CASA and they would help.
Also, as the other woman said, if you want to contact me, I have a daughter who is 2 and I never threw any of her clothes or toys away, so I have alot of stuff in storage, toys and clothes. I know that if may be hard to accept charity, I know it has been for me, but let me know and maybe we can figure something out.

Talk to the LDS bishop in your area. Last year we had a hard time and they blessed us with many many great gifts. They also gave us a turkey for christmas dinner. It was great. They also did not expect anything from us. We are LDS, but not active. and they never assumed anything, or sent anyone to bother us.

Sometimes churches give out gifts or you can go to the salvation army. You can research where the salvation army is in your town.
