So right now i'm in tears. I spent the night at my boyfriends house last night and i forgot to call my parents to tell them, i'm 16 and hes 22. I've been dating him for a year and a half and they know his age and all about him and we are dating and everything, but my mom is mad at me now and is saying how she can call the cops on him and stuff, and its scaring me, he didnt do anything wrong, and it really hurts a lot. can he get in trouble even though my parents gave us consent at one point? :(

yes he CAN get in trouble w/ the police.
what u need to do is Apologize profusely, and tell them u need to be more responsible from now on, and that u WANT to be more responsible so that they can trust you AND ur boyfriend. he doesn't want to get u in trouble... then he should've woken u up and taken u home that night NO MATTER WHAT. u need to be on the same team, and help ur parents to Understand ur relationship. if u don't become more responsible, fast, then things will happen like this!!
either find a boyfriend that is closer to ur age, or be ready to accept the responsiblities that come along w/ a much older boyfriend.
good luck.

If you've been dating for a year and a half, that meant that a man of 20 was messing with a 14-year-old minor and he can and should "get in trouble". I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think that parents can give "consent" to statutory rape. This guy's a child molester. Run, don't walk far away from him and his type. And don't waste tears on this perv. He's not worth it, sweetie.

You are 16 you need to be dating someone your own age. he is 22 he needs to be dating someone his age. That is too old for you. your parents must have been thinking something odd when they said yes to this . I know i would be very upset if my 16 yr old son were dating a 22 yr old woman. Now if your parents do call the police they are going to be answering some tough questions when the investagators come and ask. so they might be wise just to punish you and leave it at that. Good Luck and god bless.

I saw your story on Dr. Phil the other day and please please know that the mother is prosecuting the boyfriend and sending him to jail for raping her 16 year old daughter. Even though the daughter gave him full consent to have sex with her, the mother insists it is rape, sex with a minor......... I am sure you are a mature 16 year old but what could you have in common with a 22 year old? I can't imagine much. You are both on different pages, I assume you are in school and I again assume he is in the working field....You have not gone to your high school prom yet and he has been there and done that......Honestly if you were my daughter you would be grounded..........and certainly no relationship with a 22 year old......... sorry but honest.

I, would kick the guys A** for keeping my daughter out all night. Then i would put her back into the custom closet i built in the basement.
Just goes to show. You give an inch and they take a mile!!!!!!
p.s. my oldest daughter is 15, so i do know how your parents feel. and i as a parent would go left field and hurt the boyfriend. Bad. Good luck to you. (dump the older man idea)

let me tell you something. Parents are parents and when it comes down to something like this who do you think the cops are going to belive? You and your boy or you PARENTS? You say that nothing happend, so tell your boy to go talk to your parents and let them know that it will never happend again. Let your parents know that he respects you and will not hurt you. Remeber you are only 16 and he is 22. You have more to lose than him.

Yous shouldn't have stayed over. yes they can call the cops and get him trouble. It was irresponsible of both of you- specially him since he is older. You need to find someone more appropriate for your age. Or wait until you are 18 to date anyone older....

Your parents were probably freaking out. That's all. They probably think you were rebeling or having sex. And they can send him to jail. My mom tried the same thing on my ex. And you've been dating since you were fifteen!!. Your parents can defineltly get him in trouble.

Basically your boyfriend is a pervert sex offender that obviously can't maintain a fruitful relationship with any of his peers. He was probably abused as a child and your father should be kicking his ***!
