How can i get lost dogs to trust and go w/ me into my car or follow me? safe ways id on't want to get bitten.

Do not take them to the shelter.Help find them a home.Check the newspaper to see if someone has placed a lost ad. If you find a dog,,ads are free. You can also post signs. If the dog has a license on its collar,,you can trace the owner.

If the dog don't know you, I doubt it if it would come up to you. I found a dog beside the road a couple of weeks ago. I got out to see if it had a tag or info where I could call the owner. The dog ran away as soon as I started talking to it. All you can do is let the dog go. It might find it's way back home. If not someone will call the spca to come pick it up.

Keep treats and leashed in your car. I have never had problems picking up dogs. But if they won't go with you, call the shelter or animal control, and give your exact location and leave a scared possible dangerous dog to the professionals.

carry a leash with you and talk softly to the dog and get down to the dogs level such as kneeling down. the dog is more likely to respond to you if you do this. Put the dog in the back seat. YOu could save a dogs life

You may actually want to start setting dog traps. it's a safe and humane way to trap and rescue dogs. We used them in new orleans.

They are costly, so see if any shelters in your area will lend one to you. However, if they have any traps, they always seem to be being used by someone else, so you might just want to buy your own.

Good luck!!

better question is what are you going to do with the dog after you get it in the car.... Vets and Animal shelters will euthanize the dogs after awhile. you will have to be prepared to take care of them

If I were you I would call animal control if they won't come near you. Chances are they don't trust people and at least the animal control will feed them and put a roof over their heads for a while.
