I like it, I have to admit. If I eat more than a few pieces it makes me want to throw up from the sweetness though (and I have a cast iron stomach). They should call it Diabetic Coma instead of Candy Corn.

Yes, my wife does. They are more associated with fall festivals and corn is present in the "horn of plenty". It is an old symbol of having a good harvest and sharing it with others. Halloween is just occurring at the same time. The two are not originally connected.

They're not always bad, but the taste has nothing do with their name. Some kids eat them, but people garnish cakes and sundaes with them, too
