im 38 weeks preg due in 2 weeks, last night i was so tired of being pregnant i was thinking of poping my own water bag, i dont know what i was thinking! i was out of it! but of course i did not do it! i was just wondering is it possible?

oh hun..
not much longer to go. just wait it out for the well being of the baby. just because your water breaks does not mean that you will go into labor. you also risk serious infection to yourself and your baby.
take care, enjoy these last few days of being "one" with your baby.

I'm sure it's possible, but you were right not to do it.
There are all sorts of things that could go wrong if people try to preform medical procedures on themselves. They could hurt the baby with whatever they're using to break their water, there is an enourmous risk of infection, the baby's lungs could not be ready yet, and probably many other things I can't think of right now.
You've been pregnant for 38 weeks already, surely you can stick it out another 2! If the doctor thinks you need to be unduced, he will suggest it. I went a week overdue before my dr. suggested it, and my son was born by c-section at 10 days overdue.

I dont think it's possible because if your babys is not ready to be born even if you break your own water you might not go into labor and you don't want to hurt your baby, just relax because after the baby is here, it will not be about you anymore.

Oh i'm sure its possible , an i bet if you looked hard enough you could find a case like that.
When i had my first baby , My Doc had to Pop my water , she did it with this lil Sliver thing , I didnt feel a thing when he did it !! But again he was a doc , an he did know what he was doing !!!

well for one, pregnant woman become crazy those last few weeks. (and really who can blame them) It is possible for a pregnant lady to break her own water bag but really really really dangerous. She could miss and accidently poke baby. Luckily you refrained and hopefully baby comes before your doctor has to break the bag for you. Best of luck

This would not be possible without the correct "tools" and it would be very dangerous....bleeding, injuring the baby not to mention the strong possibility of infection!

possible but very dangerous im sure. your baby will be born when its ready and if he decides he wants to come out late, let the doctor handle it!
